San Leandro Road Rage Shooting Leaves One Dead: Police

The victim's wife and other family members were in the vehicle at the time of the shooting.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — One person is dead after what San Leandro Police are calling a possible road rage incident. The shooting happened Sunday night. No one else was injured.

Police received a 911 call at 9:47 p.m. about the sound of gunshots in the area of Marina Boulevard and Verna Court. As they were responding to that call, more calls were received about a woman screaming for help from the Kaiser Hospital parking lot.

Officers found the victim, seated in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Officers and emergency medical personnel attempted life-saving measures on the victim, but he died.

Police found evidence of a shooting in the 1900 block of Marina Boulevard. They believe there were several other vehicles in the area at the time, and someone may have witnessed the shooting or what led up to it.
