San Leandro Fire Kills Man, Woman

The early morning fire was reported at a mobile home park.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Two people died in a mobile home fire in San Leandro this morning, according to the Alameda County Fire Department. The identifies of the victims, a man and a woman, have not been released.

Firefighters got the call at 5:27 a.m. The double-wide mobile home was fully involved in flames when they arrived in less than 5 minutes. Firefighters had the flames out within 15 minutes of arriving at the scene in the 200 block of Santa Susana at the Mission Bay Mobile Home Park.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Alameda County Fire Investigation Task Force is helping with the probe. Task Force representatives from the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF); Alameda County Sheriff’s Office (UAV Team); and the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety all responded to help with the fire investigation.
