2 Men Shot In San Leandro, Flee In Porsche Cayenne

The victims fled to Oakland where they flagged down police.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Two people were shot in San Leandro Wednesday evening before they flagged down Oakland police officers because they thought the suspect was following them, police in both cities said Thursday.

Events unfolded at about 6 p.m. in the 14300 block of Washington Avenue when the victims got into an altercation with the suspect.

The victims got in a Porsche Cayenne and then the suspect opened fire, San Leandro Police Lt. Matthew Barajas said. One victim was hit in the hand and the other suffered a graze wound to the shoulder, Barajas said.

The victims flagged down Oakland police officers at a police department vehicle storage lot and then were taken to a hospital.

San Leandro police are investigating the motive for the shooting and are hoping to identify the suspect, Barajas said.
