SAN LEANDRO, CA — A vegetation fire broke out Tuesday afternoon at Oyster Bay Regional Shoreline in San Leandro. It burned 6 acres before Alameda County firefighters were able to snuff out the flames.

No injuries were reported.

Although there are structures nearby, the fire department said that no homes were threatened.

The fire was reported at 2:24 p.m. in the 1600 block of Neptune Drive.

The cause of the fire was not immediately available.
