ACFD Makes Fire Season Switch
As hot weather approaches and vegetation dries out, the Alameda County Fire Department changes its response level.
SAN LEANDRO, CA — Temperatures in San Leandro will be around 90 degrees this weekend as the surrounding hills continue to dry out after a wet winter and early spring.
Residents with open space around their property should have a defensible space cleared around their homes and land.
For its part, the Alameda County Fire department has initiated enhanced response and dispatch levels for vegetation fires. The department made the switch on June 19.
