SAN LEANDRO, CA — Last week we shared a photo of a butterfly on a bougainvillea bush in Piedmont, the link is below. Here is another swallowtail butterfly performing acrobatic stunts on a fennel plant and flower pot. M Burnett snapped this photo in the Manor District of San Leandro. Most gardeners aren't thrilled with caterpillars on their plants, but Burnett hopes that the butterfly was laying eggs. At least one is guaranteed the first glimpse of a butterfly emerging from a cocoon. Thanks for sharing your photos!
