Alameda County Firefighters To Battle Central Coast Fire
Witnesses report that at least one home has been lost to the flames of the Hill Fire, while hundreds of residents are evacuated.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — The Hill Fire in San Luis Obispo County has charred 1,200 acres and is threatening homes, forcing the evacuation of hundreds of residents, according to CAL Fire. Witnesses told KSBY-TV that one home burned. The wildfire is now 40 percent contained.
The Office of Emergency Services is sending Strike Team OES 2870C to assist in the firefighting effort. The Strike Team includes Alameda County Fire Department personnel and equipment.
OES Engine 8233 and OES Engine 8235 are already enroute, according to a posting on Facebook. The Alameda County Fire Department asks, "Please join us in wishing our team a safe deployment!"
