• Support Pours For San Leandro Woman Who Lost Home In Fire (patch.com) — San Leandro neighbors are rallying around a 72-year-old disabled resident who lost her home in an April 3 fire near Washington Elementary School, which damaged at least five houses. A GoFundMe organized by a community member has raised nearly $5,000 so far to help her secure temporary housing and replace essential belongings as she starts rebuilding her life.    

• Arizona & Texas Clinics Notify Patients About Ransomware Incidents (hipaajournal.com) — Patients of City Health’s San Leandro clinic are being notified after a March hacking incident exposed names, insurance providers, and procedure codes, but not Social Security numbers or birthdates. The provider says it quickly involved cybersecurity experts, reported the breach to regulators, and is tightening security while stressing there’s no evidence the limited data has been misused.
