9 Parolees Arrested In East Bay As Police Seize Guns, Drugs During Sweep

Amongst the arrested were residents from San Leandro, Alameda and Oakland, police said.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Nine people were recently arrested in the East Bay during a countywide investigation by the Oakland Police Department's Crime Reduction Teams and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Parole Office, authorities said.

Police did not identify the suspects, but said nine were arrested on suspicion of parole violation on July 30. The parolees were from San Leandro, Alameda, Oakland and Emeryville, police said.

Officers seized drugs and guns during this investigation, police said. Police did not say exactly where the guns or drugs were found.

"These arrests demonstrate the department's dedication and highlight the value of working with the community and partner agencies," police said. "We are committed to proactive policing by removing illegal firearms and drugs from the streets and will continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of our community."
