Brian Copeland Holiday Play -- Only San Leandro Performance Presented by San Leandro Historical Society
Brian Copeland performs his solo play "The Jewelry Box" on Sunday, December 21, at 2:00 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center in San Leandro
“Remarkable...if you see one Christmas show this year, let it be Brian Copeland’s The Jewelry Box”.
This charming one-hour solo play, written and performed by Brian Copeland, “glitters with bright comedy...and genuine warmth” (Robert Hurwitz, SF Chronicle). With his trademark wit and wisdom, Copeland brings his six-year-old self and several more characters to vivid life as he spins the poignant story of his determined quest to earn $11.97 to buy Mom a Christmas present.
If you loved Not a Genuine Black Man, you’ll delight in seeing precocious Brian, tell-it-like-it-is Grandma, and sweet Mom back on the stage.
