Car Plows Into 50-Year-Old San Leandro Furniture Store: Report

SAN LEANDRO, CA — A vehicle plowed through the brick wall of a furniture store in San Leandro on Sunday evening, KRON4 reported.

The car plowed through Dupree's Furniture, a store that has served customers in town for five decades. The crash was reported around 10:45 p.m., owner Serena Dupree said.

Dupree told Kron4 that the driver "knocked down a light pole, and hit a big pole that goes between our windows."

Footage of the wreckage showed smashed windows, a downed light pole and a destroyed brick wall.
