Custom Fit

Most training programs run on guesswork. Custom Fit replaces it with measurement. At its San Francisco studios, Personal Training and Partner Training memberships include unlimited DEXA body-composition scans and VO2 max testing — diagnostics usually sold one scan at a time or reserved for specialized clinics. Custom Fit members can test as often as they train. The reasoning is straightforward. A DEXA scan measures fat, lean muscle, and bone density with clinical precision. A VO2 max test measures the body's maximum oxygen uptake, one of the strongest predictors of cardiovascular fitness and long-term health. Run those tests on a regular cadence and a member can see exactly what is changing, where, and whether a program is working — rather than relying on the scale or the mirror. Mayor Stephen Cassidy and the San Leandro City Council announced that the Recreation &amp; Human Services Department will be hosting free family movie nights at San Leandro parks throughout the summer.  Movies will be shown at the following parks: <ul><li>Halcyon Park (1245 147th Avenue) on Wednesday, July 9</li><li>Chabot Park (1698 Estudillo Avenue) on Wednesday, July 23 </li><li>Washington Manor Park (14900 Zelma Street) on Wednesday, August 6.  </li></ul>All shows will begin promptly at 8:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets and snacks, while enjoying these summertime family events. Admission is free.  For more information, please see the attached flyer or contact Recreation &amp; Human Services Customer Service at (510) 577-3462. These events were made possible by a generous donation from the San Leandro Optimist Club.

We will cruise out to the GG bridge area for a great viewing spot for the festivities. The show starts about 9:30 p.m.. and we'll return to Jack London Square after it's over, about 11 p.m.
