This spring, colors are bursting in the hallways of the San Leandro Main Library! Exciting, new artwork created by the Artful Steps artists with developmental disabilities fills both the downstairs and upstairs galleries.
Special features in this exhibit include wooden shields inspired by the art of New Guinea, a preview of our mosaic mural project and mono-prints.
A reception with refreshments will be held on Thursday, May 19th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Karp Room and the public is welcome. There will be a drawing to win beautiful fine-art pieces donated by local artists. Craft booths featuring jewelry, Artful Steps note cards, and work created by the Artful Steps Teachers will be available to purchase.
