Full Sexual Harassment Report Released By San Leandro

The City has agreed to a $350,000 severance payment for City Manager Chris Zapata.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — The City of San Leandro announced earlier this week that it had reached a separation agreement with City Manager Chris Zapata that includes a $350,000 severance payment. The decision comes less than a month after he was cleared of sexual harassment allegations.

On Friday, the city released the full report from an independent investigation of Zapata, conducted by Kramer Workplace Investigations, into allegations of inappropriate conduct. A summary of the report findings was released on June 4.

The full report contains redactions in accordance with state law, including redactions to protect the privacy of people who were interviewed or mentioned as part of the investigation.
