Heatwave: San Leandro Main Library Open Monday
Although it is Labor Day, the library will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. to provide emergency air conditioning for San Leandro residents.
SAN LEANDRO, CA — With temperatures soaring dangerously in San Leandero today, PG&E will open the San Leandro Main Public Library as a Community Resource Center from 5 to 10 p.m.
The library has air conditioning, free WiFi, water and ice, and resource kits provided by PG&E, according to Paul Sanftner, a spokesman for the City of San Leandro.
The Community Resource Center at the library will be open again from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. onTuesday.

Depending on the duration of the heatwave, it could be open again on Wednesday and Thursday.
