Man With Alzheimer's Missing From San Leandro

Police say he knows how to use public transportation and may have caught an AC transit bus. He only speaks Cantonese and Mandarin.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — A San Leandro man who has Alzheimer's disease has been missing since Thursday night. Jiankang Huang, 76, knows how to use public transit. To make the search for him even more difficult, he only speaks Cantonese and Mandarin.

San Leandro Police were notified that Huang was missing at 9:40 p.m. He walked away from his residence at 1 p.m. and police were led to believe that he may have intended to catch an AC Transit bus.

Huang is 5’6, weighs 150 pounds, and was wearing a black jacket and black pants when he was seen last. Huang also wears a bracelet with his name on it.

He does not have a cell phone with him.
