New San Leandro Mayor, City Council Members to Take Oath of Office Monday

The event will take place in the City Council Chambers of San Leandro City Hall on Dec. 8 at 7 p.m.

Mayor Stephen Cassidy and the San Leandro City Council announced that Mayor-elect Pauline Russo Cutter, District 1 Council Member-elect Deborah Cox, District 3 Council Member-elect Lee Thomas, and District 5 Council Member-elect Corina Lopez will be ceremonially sworn into office at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2014. The event will take place in the City Council Chambers of San Leandro City Hall, located at 835 East 14th Street in downtown San Leandro. In accordance with the City Charter, the terms of office for the new Mayor and Council members commence on January 1, 2015.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, a welcoming reception will be held in the Sister Cities Gallery, located adjacent to City Council Chambers. The public is invited to attend the ceremony and reception.

At 8 p.m., the City Council will hold a work session in the City Council Chambers in which the San LeandroPolice Department will provide its annual report on the programs, activities, and achievements of the department in the preceding year, and goals for the upcoming year. There will be an opportunity at the work session for the public to comment and offer input on the report and police department.
