Recycle Christmas Lights In San Leandro
The free recycling event runs through Jan. 14.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — San Leandro residents can recycle their unwanted holiday lights through Jan. 14 at the Public Works Service Center, city officials announced on Twitter.
Recycling is available from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday at the center at 14200 Chapman Road.
The service is for San Leandro residents only, according to city officials.

Residents are asked to remove all excess bags and packaging. All lengths and colors of lights are accepted.
Compact fluorescent lamps, extension cords, pre-lit Christmas trees and lighted garland/wreaths are not being accepted.
