SAN LEANDRO, CA — San Leandro High School students joined the National School Walkout to protest gun violence, they were just several hours late. At the scheduled time, 10 a.m., they were on lockdown because of a shooting threat. The lockdown was lifted once police confirmed that no threat existed.
This message was found scrawled on a bathroom wall, "I'm shooting the school tomorrow at 1. I'm sick of this s***. Better not come. F*** this place."
As a result, the school was locked down and police systematically swept the building.
