San Leandro PD SWAT Serves Warrant For SFPD
The warrant was related to a robbery in San Francisco.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — San Leandro police said their SWAT team executed a search warrant on Thursday morning on behalf of San Francisco police detectives who are investigating a violent robbery in their city.
A vehicle that was involved in the robbery in San Francisco was tracked to an address on Preda Street in San Leandro, according to police. Authorities said San Francisco police detectives obtained a search warrant for the location and followed protocol by delivering the order to the
San Leandro Police Tactical Operations Team for execution.
Police said that at 5 a.m. on Thursday members from the San Leandro's SWAT Team converged on the location and successfully executed the search warrant and the registered owner of the involved vehicle was located and detained without incident.

Detectives from San Francisco police and officers from Alameda police were present and helped with the operation, according to police. "This is the second early morning operation conducted by our San Leandro police Tactical Operations team in a week," San Leandro Police Lt. Isaac Benabou said in a statement.
"Both operations were at the request of outside agencies conducting felony investigations in San Leandro," Benabou added.

Last week, the San Leandro Tactical Operations team assisted the Los Angeles Police Departmentwith a warrant in connection with a homicide investigation, police said.
They said a substantial amount of research hours go into the planning of such operations to ensure they are done safely, without harm to the public, officers or the individuals involved.
San Leandro police said San Francisco police detectives assumed responsibility for the investigation once the entry into the residence was completed and additional details will be released later today by that agency.
