School Canceled In San Leandro On Friday

The hazardous smoke has created unhealthy conditions for much of the region over the past few days.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — School has been canceled Friday for students and staff in the San Leandro Unified School District. A decision was made to collectively close all schools in Alameda County on Friday.

Smoke from the Camp Fire in Butte County continues to cause unhealthy air quality in the Bay Area and the haze is expected to linger through Monday, air quality officials said. The hazardous smoke has created unhealthy conditions for much of the region over the past few days.
