Tar Spill Cleaned Up On I-880 In Hayward
Tar was spilled across two lanes, closing both lanes for hours.
HAYWARD, CA — The CHP has canceled a sig-alert for southbound I-880 in Hayward, where two lanes had been blocked just north of the Tennyson Road interchange.
According to the CHP log, a 50 to 100 gallon tank of tar was on the roadway, and some of the material spilled.
No injuries were reported.
