Woman Pleads Guilty to San Leandro Bank Robbery

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A San Francisco woman has pleaded guilty to robbing a number of banks in San Francisco and in the East Bay,according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Yolanda Brown, 48, also known as "Yoyo," admitted to two robberies in San Francisco in January and June of this year and three in San Leandro and Antioch in January, February and June, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

In addition, she also admitted to being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and to possessing with intent to distribute and distributing more than fifty grams of methamphetamine.

Brown was indicted by a federal grand jury on Sept. 15, 2015 for distribution of methaphetamine, and again on Oct. 20 this year in connection with the robberies and unlawful possession of a firearm.

She pleaded guilty to all charges in both indictments.

She is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 27, 2017. The potential maximum penalty is 20 years imprisonment for each count of bank robbery, 10 years imprisonment for being a felon in possession of a firearm and life in
prison for distribution of 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
