The prospective excavation and hauling of 4
million cubic yards (235,300 truckloads) of dirt is unfathomable to
most. Yet, if Metro builds the 710 tunnel, 10 million cubic yards of
dirt (588,000 truckloads) of dirt will be excavated and hauled
to Irwindale on the 210 Freeway during 9-12 years of construction --
