Poll: Should the School District Release Records of Teacher Misconduct?
The SMUSD and other districts have cited employee privacy as a reason to keep their records of teacher misconduct private, the Pasadena Star-News reports. Do you agree with the district's stance?

After being solicited for records of teacher misconduct by the San Gabriel Valley News group, several school districts in the area have declined to submit records, the Pasadena Star-News reported Thursday.
The requests came in the wake of several charges against teachers at various Southern California schools for misconduct, including sexual incidents involving students.
The was included in the list of districts who were approached for records but have yet to submit them.

"While two districts--Arcadia Unified and Bonita Unified--have now released information, 26 others have cited employee privacy concerns as a reason to keep their records private," the Star-News reported.
Parents from local school districts also expressed anger earlier this week, the Star-News reported, at the lack of transparency.
