San Marino Softball Beats La Canada, Strikes Out Cancer (Photos)

San Marino varsity girls softball broke La Cañada's 29-game winning streak Friday night, as both teams played at a fundraiser.

Varsity girls softball teams from and La Cañada High School weren't just battling each other Friday night, but helping battle cancer at a "Strike Out Cancer" game that raised funds for the American Cancer Society.

The cherry on top was when San Marino's Michelle Floyd scored the winning run to bring the score to 3-2, meaning the Titans broke La Cañada's 29-game winning streak.

San Marino players wore white and La Cañada players wore light pink, each of the uniforms representing breast cancer awareness.
