Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness:
In a society built around face value and first impressions, it’s difficult to stay true to oneself. Whether by peer pressure, the needs of the moment, or life experiences, we all change bit by bit and sometimes lose that little piece of ourselves that we called our own.
The key to Lindsay’s awesomeness is that she stays true to herself and pushes herself to not only excel in the areas she’s passionate about, but also to remain humble. Her gift of being true to herself is exemplified in her receiving of the Courtney A. Miller Spirit Award. The Courtney A. Miller Spirit Award is unique
because unlike other awards a person can win as a result of performance, scored points, hours worked, or grades attained, the Courtney A. Miller Spirit Award instead awarded based on what others see in a player over his or her years of participation.
Lindsay is a consistent Honor Student, an active , a philanthropic National Charity League member, an acolyte at her church, a choir participant; and a soccer, volleyball, and softball player.
This young woman’s ability to not only achieve in all of the above, but also stay grounded in who she is despite success or failure will certainly keep her rooted for her life journey ahead. She derives much of this dedication to her experiences and responsibilities of being a good sister, daughter, and granddaughter; following through with commitments; and giving 110% to whatever she sets out to do. Her positive attitude about outcomes will go a long way while keeping her grounded in the friends, family, and community that got her there.
