- Whiz Kids’ Name: Eric and Kevin Wu (Twins)
- Whiz Kid's Age: 18
- Whiz Kid's School: San Marino High School. Both boys are attending Duke University in the coming fall.
- Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Eric and Kevin are incredibly talented in both the musical and intellectual arenas. Between regularly competing in speech and debate, and traveling across the nation with the San Marino High School Chamber Choir, Eric with his smooth tenor tones and Kevin with his resounding bass display the power of balance through diversity.
- Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: In life, there are fine lines between all the aspects that define us. Knowing when to be adventurous and when to be reserved is just as important as knowing when to let your curiosity drive you towards taking those little risks that turn the preconceptions of who we think we are upside down. The key to Eric and Kevin’s awesomeness is the seamless unity these two young men share in letting their curiosity and fearlessness in the face of convention compel them towards experimenting in two incredibly diverse fields: speech and debate and music through the San Marino High School Chamber Choir. More so, it is their efforts in constant self-improvement that has kept them singing and debating these past five years; a trait I’m sure will serve them well in life. It’s less of a drive towards perfection, but a self-motivating, encouraging attitude that raised them from those young 8th grade boys scared of singing in public, to the fine young gentlemen they are today; traversing across the globe and spreading music through their harmonious voices to the corners of the earth. What I find most amazing about Eric and Kevin is both their humility and their gratefulness. This is exemplified in how these two young gentlemen, despite all their success, their globe-trotting, and the bright futures ahead of them, remember that it’s their parents that lift them up when their spirits are down, support and courage their pursuits, and ultimately love them, even when they’re trying to tell/convince their parents that they’ll be spending every weekend in February on a plane from one place to somewhere else.

If you had power to change one thing and make the world a better place, what would that be?: Both Eric and Kevin believe that there should be more role models for children in disadvantaged positions.
