90-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck By Car In SMC: Police

MILLBRAE, CA — The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash after a car hit a 90-year-old woman Monday in Millbrae.

At around 3 p.m. on Monday, deputies said they received a call that a car had hit a pedestrian on the 500 block of Richmond Drive.

Police said when they arrived they found a 90-year-old woman had serious injuries from the crash. She was transported to a local hospital where she died, police said.

The driver of car stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

It does not appear any impairment played a role in this incident, police said.
