Bay Meadows Celebrates Bike Month with Contest to win a PUBLIC Bike

Bay Meadows would like to see you how you roll on two wheels. In honor of Bike Month, which is May, the mixed-use development is holding a social media contest to encourage city residents and visitors to snap a selfie at their favorite bicycle destination. One lucky entry will win a PUBLIC bicycle.

With their “Commute Like a Local” campaign, Bay Meadows aims to raise awareness about how fun and healthy bicycling is and, specifically commuting. Participants are asked to snap a selfie at their favorite San Mateo bike destinations. Simply tag @BayMeadowsLife on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook using both the hashtags #HowIRoll and #BTWSan Mateo, and Bay Meadows will enter you to win some wheels. On Bike to Work Day, Thursday, May 14, Bay Meadows invites bike commuters to stop by their Energizer Station at 1000 Franklin between 7-9 am. It’s located on the corner of Saratoga and Franklin and is sponsored by Kaiser, Whole Foods San Mateo and Bay Meadows. There, you can pick up all sorts of goodies, including healthy snacks, beverages plus bike bells, bike water bottles, bike maps and other bicycling schwag.

Those stopping by the Energizer Station on the 14th will triple their chances of winning the PUBLIC bike, as they’ll receive three (3) extra entries per selfie. For contest details, visit www.baymeadows.com.

THE RULES:

Everyone is welcome to participate. 1 entry per person, per location. Be creative! All photos must include partial bike images, even if just handlebars or a wheel. Entries must tag @BayMeadowslife and use #HowIRoll + #BTWSanMateo. All photos must feature a San Mateo or San Mateo County location. (3) extra entries for photobooth photos on May 14th! All photos submitted may be used for marketing purposes by Bay Meadows. Winner must pick up the bike at Bay Meadows, San Mateo within 2 weeks of announcement to claim prize.
