Coronavirus: San Mateo Case Count Surpasses 700

The county hasn't reported a COVID-19-related fatality in a week, leaving the death toll at 21.

SAN MATEO, CA — San Mateo County Health reported an additional 49 cases of the new coronavirus Monday, bringing the countywide total to 701.

The county hasn’t reported a COVID-19-related fatality in a week, leaving the death toll at 21.

There are currently 72 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in the county, of which 49 are in ICU beds and 52 are on ventilators.
