Coronavirus: San Mateo County Reports 8 New Deaths

The latest report brings the countywide death toll to 21

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA – San Mateo County reported eight additional deaths from the new coronavirus Tuesday, bringing the countywide total to 21.

The county also reported five new COVID-19 cases, bringing the countywide total to 589.

All of the deaths have involved people over the age of 51, and all but four have been among those over the age of 71.

The majority (51%) of those who have tested positive for coronavirus in the county are 50 or younger.
