Coronavirus: Santa Clara County Reports 2 More Deaths

Latest announcement brings the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the county to four.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — The County of Santa Clara Public Health Department announced two deaths from the new coronavirus Monday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the county to four.

An adult man in his 80s who was hospitalized on Saturday, March 7, died on Sunday, March 15.

An adult man in his 50s was hospitalized on Thursday, March 12 and also died on Sunday, March 15.

The announcement comes on a day in which the six Bay Area counties including Santa Clara issued “shelter in place" orders in an effort to slow the spread of the virus.
