SAN MATEO, CA — A driver in a blue Tesla lost control of her car Friday morning and crashed into a San Mateo home, the San Mateo Police Department said in a Facebook post alongside a series of photos.

While the post didn't provide any additional context, multiple outlets—including NBC Bay Area—reported that the crash occurred around 7:10 a.m. near Murphy and Ashwood Drives after the driver lost control while going down a hill, hit an embankment, and flew over the pool.

One photo shared by police shows the car crashed almost entirely inside what appears to be the home's kitchen, which is heavily damaged. Another photo, taken from outside the home at a distance, shows that the crash occurred just feet from an uncovered pool in the home's yard.
