Explosives, Drugs And Guns Found In SMC Home: Police
A drug bust uncovered a cache of drugs, illegal guns and materials for making bombs, police said.
SAN BRUNO, CA — A 32-year-old San Bruno man is facing multiple felony charges, including possession of illegal firearms and suspected explosive materials, following a raid on his home, police announced Friday.
On Tuesday, officers from the San Bruno Police Department said they served a search warrant at the home of Ryan J. Beardsley on the 2600 block of Heather Lane. Beardsley was taken into custody, police said.
During the search, investigators said they discovered a significant quantity of methamphetamine, along with packaging materials, scales, and narcotics paraphernalia. However, the search also revealed a cache of weapons and materials for manufacturing improvised explosive devices, police said.

Police said they found suspected explosive materials and evidence indicating an intent to manufacture IEDs. The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad was called to the scene and safely recovered the materials.
In addition to the drugs and explosive materials, investigators said they seized a number of illegal firearms, including an un-serialized AR-15 "ghost gun," two rifles, a revolver, several high-capacity magazines and ballistic armor. Beardsley, a convicted felon, is prohibited from owning firearms. A stolen ATV was also recovered from the property, police said.

Beardsley was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility for multiple felony charges.
