Fatal Crash Blocks All Lanes On San Mateo Bridge: Police
One person was killed in a crash involving a van and a sedan on the highway along the bridge, police said.
SAN MATEO, CA — One person died Tuesday evening in a crash that closed several lanes on a highway near the San Mateo bridge, according to the California Highway Patrol.
As of 8 p.m. on Tuesday, all lanes were reopened, police said.
At around 2:50 p.m., CHP officers said they responded to the report of a crash on westbound Highway 92, involving a van and a sedan.

Police said the person killed in the crash was in a sedan that was stalled in the highway when it was hit by the van.
A passenger in the van was transported to the hospital and the driver of the van stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
