Seven unbeaten teams means 2011 is shaping up to be another banner year for local teams.

Four weeks into the high school football season, here is a look at how San Mateo County teams stack up. The top-15 weekly rankings are drawn from all schools in the county.
1. Serra 3-0 (Last week: 1) Rested and ready to rumble in WCAL; looks to deliver big blow to 1-2 St. Francis in opener.
2. Sacred Heart 4-0 (2) Cruises into bye at 4-0 for second straight year; Terra Nova showdown on Gators’ mind.

5. Menlo-Atherton 2-2 (4) Averted bad loss to HMB by forcing four second-half turnovers in comeback win.
6. Aragon 3-0 (6) It took until season finale to get 4th win in 2010; Dons should achieve that on Friday by beating Cap.
7. Menlo 3-0 (7) Will Knights settle on one signal-caller after expected romp at Mills this week?
8. South San Francisco 4-0 (9) Impressive in first 4-0 start since ’08; caution – that team then went 1-5 and missed CCS.

15. Carlmont 0-3 (15) Wore down by allowing three TDs to Aragon in 4th quarter; looks for complete game vs. Woodside.
