
SAN MATEO, CA – New Year's Eve revelers can get free rides for their way home on San Mateo County Transit District buses, transit officials said.
Free rides will be available from 8 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday.
On Tuesday, SamTrans will be operating on a Sunday schedule. Service on New Year's Eve will be on a normal schedule.

SamTrans offices, which manage SamTrans and Caltrain, will be closed New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
Customer service, however, will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. News Year's Eve and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. New Year's Day. Customer service can be reached by calling (800) 660-4287.
