Gas Prices Soar Past $7 In SMC Amid Escalating Conflict: Report

The average national price for gasoline has increased as the conflict abroad continues to escalate.

MENLO PARK, CA — As national average gas prices continue their sharp increase due to the escalating war with Iran, motorists in Menlo Park were shocked Thursday to see prices at a local Chevron station exceed the $7 per gallon mark, according to a report by NBC Bay Area.

The station, near prominent Sandhill Road, is notorious for having some of the highest fuel costs in San Mateo County.

The surge in prices is being felt nationwide, with gas costs up approximately 50 cents per gallon just this month, according to NBC Bay Area.
