Hillsdale Shopping Center Unveils New Dining Terrace
The dining terrace is the first section of Hillsdale's developing North Block to open.

From Hillsdale Shopping Center: Hillsdale Shopping Center celebrated today the grand opening of its new Dining Terrace along with local business leaders and elected officials with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The renovated dining area marks the first opening in Hillsdale’s developing North Block project and offers a variety of casual dining flavors that reflect current industry trends, and appeal to the many appetites of San Francisco Peninsula shoppers.
New restaurants include MidiCi Neopolitan Pizza, Blue Whale Poke Bar and Grill, Haagen-Dazs, Kuro-Obi Ramen, Panda Express, Tacos El Grullense, Sarku Japan Sharetea, and Uncle Tetsu Japanese Cheesecake. Tacos El Grullense and Sarku Japan are the first to open in San Mateo, and Uncle Tetsu Japanese Cheesecake and Midici Neapolitan Pizza Company are the first of their kinds in Northern California.
“The opening of Hillsdale’s Dining Terrace is a momentous occasion,” said Christine Kupczak, Marketing Director for Hillsdale Shopping Center. “San Mateans now have easy access to a fantastic selection of casual dining options within a reimagined contemporary space.”

The Dining Terrace overlooks 31st Avenue and is conveniently located near mall shopping, parking, elevators and escalators. The terrace connects the existing mall’s Nordstrom Court to the developing North Block area and provides easy access to family-friendly food choices and upgraded Wi-Fi technology, which keeps shoppers connected and charged up.
“The new Dining Terrace offers a glimpse into the rest of North Block expansion project scheduled to open Summer 2019,” said Kupczak. “There’s more to come and much more to look forward to.”
