Sammy Obeid -
Lebanese-American Sammy Obeid wields his UC Berkeley double major in Business and Mathematics to bring laughter to the nation. Torio Van Grol -
Torio performs regularly at two of San Francisco’s premier comedy showcases. His primary habitat is the comedy clubs of the Bay Area, California, but he has been spotted as far south as San Diego and as far north as Sonoma, grazing on the region’s naturally plentiful burritos. Torio is highly prized for his jokes, which are rumored to have aphrodisiacal properties. He recently performed in the 2015 SF Sketchfest, as well as the 2014 Santa Cruz Fringe Festival and Sacramento Comedy Fest. In 2013, he finished runner-up in the Rooster T. Feathers comedy competition.
Shanti Charan -
Shanti’s bubbly personality and contagious smile lure in audiences and her comedic abilities keeps them laughing. She is a fast-rising fresh face in the Bay Area comedy scene. Her ability to formulate quick connections makes it easy for her to communicate with diverse audiences. She won 1st place in the 2011 Rooster T Feather’s Comedy Competition and participated in the 2011 San Francisco International Comedy Competition where she advanced to the semi-finals. Charan was recently awarded SF Weekly’s 2012 Best Stand-Up on the Way Up. SF Weekly says Charan’s writing “is clever and confident beyond her years.”
Phil Griffiths -
With his deadpan humor, Phil Griffiths is hitting the Bay Area comedy scene with dry, slightly off observations on fatherhood in the 21st Century. As far as mid-life crisis go, Phil’s wife stacks his career in stand up comedy as better than a drug addiction but worse than him having a mistress. Phil has performed at the 2015 San Diego Comedy Festival, the 2014 Santa Cruz Comedy Festival and was a finalist in the 2013 & 2014 Rooster T. Feathers New Talent Competition
We look forward to seeing you at the show!
