Man Hit In The Head With Metal Pole During Fight In SMC: Police
Police said a backyard brawl left one person hospitalized and led to two arrests.
SAN MATEO, CA — Two San Mateo men were arrested Thursday night after a fight at a home left one person injured, police said.
Around 9:55 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of East Bellevue Avenue after receiving reports of multiple people involved in a fight in the backyard of a residence.
Police said Deyson Lopez Cardona, 27, of San Mateo, struck another man multiple times in the head with an aluminum pole, causing significant injuries.

The victim was treated at the scene and later taken to a local hospital for additional treatment, police said.
A second man, identified as Abner Lopez Cardona, 18, of San Mateo, was also involved in the altercation and was arrested on suspicion of battery, police said.

Deyson Lopez Cardona was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
Both men were booked into the San Mateo County Jail, police said.
