Overnight Ramp Closures Set For Highways In SMC

Motorists should anticipate detours and significant delays during late-night and early-morning construction work, officials said.

SAN MATEO, CA — Travelers in San Mateo should prepare for late-night and early-morning ramp closures on US-101 and SR-92 scheduled for Thursday and Friday.

The City of San Mateo has issued a heads-up regarding the overnight work, which will affect southbound traffic.

  • The westbound SR-92 off-ramp to southbound US-101 will be closed on Thursday, March 26, from 9 PM to 5 AM.
  • The southbound US-101 off-ramp to Fashion Island Blvd. will be closed from 11 PM on Thursday, March 26, until 7 AM on Friday, March 27.

This work is a component of the $45 million US-101/SR-92 Short-Term Improvements Project, an initiative designed to enhance traffic flow and local access throughout the region.
