Peninsula Man Trapped Woman In Restroom, Groped Her: Police

Police arrested Mario Alberto Lopez Leon, 38, on suspicion of sexual battery, kidnapping and false imprisonment.

SAN BRUNO, CA — A San Bruno man has been arrested for allegedly grabbing a woman inside a business early Sunday morning, pulling her into a restroom and groping her, San Bruno police said Tuesday.

Mario Alberto Lopez Leon, 38, of San Bruno, forcibly prevented the woman from leaving the restroom before she was eventually able to escape, police said. Police responded to the alleged assault on Sunday at 12:27 a.m., at an unspecified business on the 100 block of El Camino Real in San Bruno.

Leon was booked at San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of sexual battery, kidnapping and false imprisonment.
