Catalytic Converter Theft Suspects Sought In Peninsula Shooting: Cops

PACIFICA, CA — Authorities are seeking the public’s help locating two suspects sought in connection with a Peninsula shooting early Wednesday morning, the Pacifica Police Department said in a news release.

The suspects are described as men in their 30s, police said. An additional suspect may have been waiting in the vehicle.
Officers at around 4:45 a.m. Wednesday responded to the report of a shooting in the 600 block of Edgemar Avenue, police said.

“Upon arrival officers determined the resident had seen two suspects attempting to steal a catalytic converter from a vehicle parked on the street,” police said in a statement.
“The resident armed himself with a BB gun and confronted the two subjects. A suspect then fired several shots striking the front of the home.”
Arriving officers were unable to locate the suspects, who were last seen fleeing toward Manor Drive in a dark-colored Ford mid-size sport utility or similar vehicle, police said.
