Playboy: California Sexiest State in the Nation

There’s no doubt about it, California is the sexiest state in the nation, if the ranking by Playboy is to be believed.

In the September issue, the venerable men’s entertainment magazine released its list of the top 25 cities in America, and the Golden State was heavily featured, taking 4 of the 25 spots -- more than any other states.

So, what determines a city as ‘sexy.’ According to Playboy, it’s a “combination of hot locals, cool nightlife, a great setting and an undercurrent of desire.”

New York City took the No. 1 in survey for its abundance night life, where the “people are hot, the sex is prime quality and the frequency is high.”

But, not far behind is Tinseltown USA at the second spot. The city known for its blonds, beaches and sun was beat out of the top spot because of its lack of walkability. What the city is No. 1 at is cheating. According Ashley Madison, about half a million Angelenos are using the adulterous site. (The survey was done before the massive hack at the cheating website.)

Southern California doesn’t have the lock on sexy. San Francisco made the list at No. 4. According to the survey, the city has “the fittest population in the country.” While it may trail New York in terms of sexual frequency, according to Playboy, it leads where it counts -- the number of orgasms.

Other California cities that made the list include San Diego (No. 9) and Santa Barbara (No. 25).
