Porch Pirates Investigation Leads To Couple Arrested With Meth In The Bay Area: Police

During a package theft investigation, a man and woman were arrested for burglary and other charges, police said.

SAN MATEO, CA — After receiving a report of a possible package theft, police said they located a man and a woman carrying burglary tools and methamphetamine Wednesday in San Mateo.

At 9:39 p.m. on Wednesday, San Mateo Police Department officers said they received a report of a package theft on the 400 block of Station Park Circle.

Police said they received a report that two suspects, later identified as Luis Magana, 35, of Van Nuys and Talia George, 34 of San Francisco, were last seen walking in the area of Garvey Way and S Delaware Street.

Police said they arrested Magana and George for burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime and delaying an officer in the performance of their duties.

While searching George, police said they discovered suspected methamphetamine and burglary tools. She received additional charges.

Magana and George were also arrested for multiple outstanding warrants and booked into the San Mateo County Jail, police said.
