Psychology/Philosophy Movie Night

Film: Awakenings (1990) Fri Oct 03, 2014 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

largest learning community: Philosophy and Psychology in Contemporary Films. Dr. Clifford and Dr. Ball will be hosting a series of films and subsequent discussions examining various issues addressed in recent popular films. Our goal is to consider aspects of these films relative to theories talked about in our classes from an interdisciplinary prospective. We would like to facilitate students’ learning to connect and apply what they learn in their courses to their daily lives.

All movies will be shown on a Friday at 6:30 pm in the CSM Theatre. This is a full-sized theater with digital picture and surround sound. Movies are free and you are welcome to bring guests. We ask that you do not bring food or drink of any sort and that you remember that this is a college activity and to conduct yourself appropriately. To receive credit for your class, please remain after the movie for the discussion. There will likely be given a small assignment. Your individual instructor will explain the amount of credit you can earn.

We look forward to your participation in what will be an exciting learning opportunity. Do something interesting, free, and (in some cases) worth extra credit!
