Redwood City Police Arrest Registered Sex Offender
Fidelino Ruiz, 26, was arrested on suspicion of multiple charges including attempted rape.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — A registered sex offender who allegedly entered the grounds of Sequoia High School, was arrested on multiple charges, Redwood City Police said.
Fidelino Ruiz, 26, allegedly entered the school and approached a juvenile student, asking her what grade she was in and whether she had a boyfriend. The alleged incident occurred on Friday, March 13.
A school resource officer notified by the girl of the alleged incident identified the suspect as a registered sex offender who by law isn’t allowed to be on school grounds.

Ruiz was arrested at his residence in unincorporated San Mateo County on Wednesday, March 18, on suspicion of attempted rape and sexual battery, among other charges.
