SAN MATEO, CA — A ride-share driver, arrested over the weekend on suspicion of false-imprisonment and rape-related charges, is accused of picking up an intoxicated passenger from a bar in San Mateo and, after she possibly passed out in the car's backseat, taking her to his home in Tracy where she was raped, according to authorities.

The 25-year-old woman filed a report Saturday that she believed was sexually assaulted by the man after she ordered the Lyft ride on Friday, the San Bruno Police Department said.

"Sometime after being picked up by the driver, the victim believed that she passed out in the backseat of the ride-share vehicle," the agency said. "The driver then took the victim to his residence in the city of Tracy without her request or permission, where it is alleged that he had nonconsensual intercourse with her."
